In the 1950's, Lola, Gelacia, Pepa and Cira Garlobo were four young sisters who inherited their parents coffee plantation in Cuba's Sierra Maestra mountains. They hid a young man on his way to join the guerrilla, an incident that would change their lives forever.

Director's Statement

The topic of women gains significance when showing the point of view of the Cuban countrywomen . Even though when she is involved in the revolutionary process, many of them keep on suffering from sexism, morality. The fact of being away from the city does not allow them to free themselves from the tights imposed by their families and social traditions without losing human values such as love for work, the family and mankind.
