Director's Statement

We live in a time where racism and discrimination are accepted at both personal and institutional levels in the United States. My father suffered from kidney failure, and I reimagined his situation in the context of an undocumented family, and how they might navigate such a life catastrophe. It is impossible to unify as a nation by proselytizing, but I feel a responsibility as a filmmaker to create work that speaks to the greatest societal issues of our day.

Category: Drama.
Themes: Border, Family, Health, Human Rights, Immigration, Mexican Culture.
