A lone scientist maintains an underground bunker for the coming global nuclear disaster. But after becoming prematurely isolated, he slowly begins to question his own reality and whether he is truly alone. Director Richard Mundy's immersive psychological thriller, is a tense and unsettling nightmare you'll never be sure you've woken up from.
On its surface level, TWENTY TWENTY-FOUR is a suspenseful thriller set in a near future. It is a story of an alienated man trapped in an isolated environment, who experiences a nightmarish reality, of which he may or may not be in control. At its deeper levels it is a film about human nature, paranoia, the darkness capable in all of us and how this shapes our world as we perceive it. Being as conceptual as the film is, it was my ambition as a director to make the film as immersive an experience for the audience as possible.
